Brakes (take the drums off and look at the shoes & wheel cylinders) , emergency brake (make sure it is working and adjusted correctly), Ball joints, (jack up each front wheel and check for bad ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.), universal joints, (check for loose joints at the front and rear of the drive shaft). I know this isn't "the fun stuff" like talking paint, interior, & wheels but if you are going to be hauling the little ones around it is the most important... Just my 2¢ worth. LockDoc
