There's a 383 under the hood the exhaust hides the true sound of the motor, but it should be capable of at least high 12's (if I ever get it to the track). You just have to imagine it without the drag radials out back. In daily trim I run the same wheels and tires you see up front in the back as well.

It's the original air cleaner with the passenger side snorkel and air intake hose. What I did was grab another identical BBC air cleaner (larger mouth opening than sbc, getting harder to find now) and remove that snorkel by drilling the spot welds. Cut a new hole in my air cleaner identical to the other side and spot welded the snorkel to mine and made a dual setup. Then I stopped at GM and bought another intake duct (still available at that time).

At that same junk yard I grabbed the core support piece that bolts in (for the snorkel to snap onto), I simply installed that on the driver side of my core support. The hole and patterns are there on both sides of the core support (thanks GM ) so it's easy to adapt the intake hose to the driver side. Guess they duplicate both sides since air cleaners didn't always enter the passenger side depending on engine option I suppose.

I then removed all the baffling inside my air cleaner (baffle in front of snorkle and baffle surrounding the carb opening) for free flowing unrestricted cold outside air. Looks stock Lots of little tricks in this truck that go unnoticed.

I can take more pics tomorrow if there is something in particular you want to see? You want to see the driver side core support entrance?

Here's an overview shot that I already had....I did this carefully so I didn't have to paint the air cleaner. Those are the original decals on the air cleaner and I doubt they are reproduced anywhere, so I didn't want to go down that road. Luckily the added snorkel has about the same weathered/aged look as the rest of the air cleaner so it looks original, lol. Actually looks a little dusty in this shot,,good ole Arizona desert air I guess.

Cool, thanks for the info. Your pics are missing, I'd still like to take a look at them again.
