He doesn't have to be a subscribing member to reply in a "Wanted to Buy" post. You stated you bumped a thread that has a set, but didn't offer a link or more details, and the OP did not respond. I don't feel he was being "cut throat" by these actions.

Ok, lets look at this link / last page and Leroy B-1 did respond to that thread too.

David, from the outside looking in from any angle you are not going to win this one going up against Ken. After checking out your buddy seat FS thread (post #40) where stingrayorangekrate clearly states "I'll take the buddy buckets", why not ask him to man up, step away from his schwinn for a moment and come play with the big boys here, he knew your asking price and ideas on shipping cost so why not let him follow through and be a man of his word? I find myself posting on this same subject a couple of times a year with so much emphasis being placed on the definition of "I'll take it", this issue comes up fairly regular around here yet it still seems to be one of the flaws of the board system, you as the seller have to go by and stick tight to the order as posted in the thread, yet at anytime the buyer who stated he would "take it" gets a free pass at anytime he chooses, all the while tying up the FS thread when the buyer knew that he was not able or in the position to complete things on his end. Happens fairly regular and same goes for posting WTB threads, why post one if you are not ready "to buy" only to get your panties in a knot/feelings hurt when others jump inline for spots 2, 3 and so on? Same goes for the habitual offenders here that seem to always use the trickery post/play on words/asking questions or making offers thinking that they are now placed inline only to get bent after someone else steps up and says they'll take said item at the sellers original terms/condition. Re: WTB 68 chevy buddy buckets asap!

Mel, The young man hasn't backed out. I just get fed up with these selling issues, like you mentioned. Some of the young guys have the idea its every man for himself where us older gentlemen stand by more of a code of ethnics. I'm not trying to win a pissing contest, but just putting the facts on the table. That's usually how the you make the right call, get the facts, then one can make an accurate decision. Enough said, my aplogies to stingrayorangekrate for blowing up his thread.

Re: WTB 68 chevy buddy buckets asap!

David I don't understand why your upset with me I didn't know he had taken your set or said he would I was simply reviewing the thread and I work 5 minutes from his house....thought I could be of assistance to him if he didn't already have a set and was simply stating that.my seats didn't need covers....if you have that big of a problem with me let me know and I will pm you my number and we can arrange to settle this...I don't appreciate your comments if directed at me ...this thread makes no mention of your sale or agreement with him...I knew nothing of it and am not the guy to cut anyone's throat....I just happen to have a really nice extra set and was trying to help..reread my post it says if you haven't found a set

Re: WTB 68 chevy buddy buckets asap!

Ok, sure lets swap numbers so we can meet somewhere in South Carolina and settle this - brilliant! You know, you make this sound so innocent but if you looked at this thread at the top, you seen that I push a thread back up for seats that I had "For Sale". Now, since you inquired in that thread that I pushed up, about a package deal for the seats and a few items, which I PM'd you and you never returned with an answer. I would think that you would realize what I did. And, if you looked at the next post (which has been deleted but is in my quote), the young man states I have a set. So why would you post that you have a set right down the road? You can't help but wonder what your intentions were/are. End of story.
