71-72 repop inner grill

What are the differences? The prices are all over the place. $90-$350! All of them are plastic, correct?

Thanks
Erin

As far as I know they are the same...there was someone talking about a chromed version of one....i've seen one in person...

...also sounds like there may be some NOS (original GM still in the box) in those prices.

Re: 71-72 repop inner grill

I purchased 3 grille inserts from 2 different vendors, and here is the issues that I found. The last one I got has "keyparts" on the box. I believe the first 2 were "counter part". I think they were all 3 the same, as they all had the exact same flaws, as if they all came out of the same mold. I believe that Dynacorn is selling their own. I have not tried one yet. If any members that are vendors, could check out their stock, it would be appreciated by the rest of the board.
I purchased a new one from GM, and it came molded in a very dark grey color, not painted silver as they have been for 40 years. I found out that GM has discontinued the insert, and apparently the last batch that they made, was not painted. So I sent back the new one that I had bought, and I found an older NOS insert, that came painted silver. All of the paint was coming off, so I had to blast and paint it anyway.
