I've never seen an adaptor. I spliced mine in. It's cool. I can't remember how I wired them up. With the headlights off, the front dual lights flash together and opposite the fender light. With the headlights on, the front dual lights alternate flash, one (inside I think) flashes with the fender.

Re: 81-87 to 88-91 headlight harness

The one I converted I spliced the harnesses together as well. The colors are all the same (at least if you have the dual headlamp setup already). The only difference I had is there wasn't a brake pressure switch wire on the '91 front end I used, since '91 had rear ABS. Seems like it was a tan/white wire with a black single spade plug; it goes to a plug down near the power steering box.

Can't you just pull the pins and place in a new harness?

Got me. It was just easier for me to measure down the harness the same distance, and splice it. The connectors for the later style headlights are different.

If the pins in both connecters are the same I would pin it. Cleaner look and cut down on weakpoints
