thinking about a 6 row louvered roll pan w/tag box...

Anyone have one of these on there truck and do you have any pics ? Brothers has a steel one for 150 bucks...thinking about putting one on my 83 C-10 ..

can i ask a question, not to offened anyone or anything but
whats the point of louvered part
does it help in any certain way? wouldnt it let water in?

Its for looks. Kinda like saying, whats the point in aftermarket wheels.

My bowtie tailgate skin has a plate on the back side to keep water out. Roll pan louvers don't need nothing.

To save weight and bigger rims and a lower profile tire can improve handling.
But vents on a rollpan is just personal taste I guess

Pete its your truck, do the louvers if you like them. I like them. To say its too 80s, well the trucks are 80s and 70s. People are now pinstriping and putting on whitewalls too. That dates a vehicle also, but alot of people like that. I like louvers, pinstripes, etc. Maybe try a louvered tailgate insert that can be removed if you change your mind.
