Fuse help.
This might be a really stupid question... When it comes to electrical and cars I am lost for the most part. On a 76 chevy k10 what size amp fuse goes in the accessories fuse spot. I can't find it in my manual or online.... and would that be the problem with why my deck isn't working?

Re: Fuse help.
if the fuse is blow find out why it is blow and fix it first, if u keep replacing it it will blow and might mess up your wiring. but put a 10 in and see if it work that will tell if the stereo in on that fuse if not u need to case the wire.

Re: Fuse help.
According to the wiring diagram the ACC FUSED position is a 20amp fuse.

Re: Fuse help.
I'll post the fuse block once I get my hands on a computer. It tells you what amps to use and also what fuse powers what. And like hatzie said its a 20 amp fuse.

Re: Fuse help.
Thanks guys. I took out the deck and was looking at it and all the wires look fine. So I'm wondering if it powers the cab light, cig lighter and radio. But I'm not sure how I should go about troubleshooting it.

Re: Fuse help.
I pulled out the blown fuse and its a 5 amp fuse. Could that be the problem that the fuse just wasn't strong enough?

Re: Fuse help.
the reason i said a 10 amp fuse was, to see if the wiring was okay. if there is a problem it will blow when u turn something on. that why u can see if the is a proble with each thing on the fuse. if u turn on all the loads it will blow but if u turn one thing on and off u can see if if there is a short or anything. then u can see what fuse it will take.

Thanks for all the help. My dad told me to throw a 5amp in there and I did and it works fine.
