BB seat support question

I'm looking into putting my bucket seats in when I noticed something on the seat support (pics from other members). I noticed there is 6 holes drilled...3 for mounting and 3 smaller holes exposed. What are the extra holes used for?
I'm gonna be fabbing one up from plans I found on here....just dont know if I will drill the extra holes if they serve no purpose.

Re: BB seat support question

No to sure what holes you are referring to. There are factory bench seat holes that are plugged from the factory when buckets are installed. Here is a link with a lot of pictures and drawings. I put up a drawing on post #59 that breaks it down pretty well. If you have a picture or a thread to quote please do so we can clear it up for everyone.

Re: BB seat support question (Buddy Buckets)

Ya sorry bout that...I even missed my own post. I meant for the Buddy Bucket seats there is a center support bracket that prevents the center back rest from hitting the cab/ fuel tank. I noticed there was 3 holes for the mounting and 3 that....well I dont know what they are for. Since I'll fab up a bracket I was thinking about not drilling those smaller holes

Some of the center jump seat to cab brace brackets had three holes and some had six, the braces only need the three holes closest to the edge for mounting them in our trucks. Maybe this was a multipurpose bracket that had other GM applications using the other set of holes, my reproed 67/68 center cab brackets (last pic) were made with just three holes and work great. Mel
