wanting to upgrade sound system
i have a 2003 silverado ext cab, that ive owned for 5 years now, and has the stock speakers, upgraded head unit, and 2 12inch kicker subs under back seat, im wanting to up grade the speakers maybe something a lil custom in the door that maybe replaces the speaker grill in the front doors, something that sounds good, looks good, any info/pics on what you did would be great thanks

I saw a fiber glass piece back when I looking at doing mine that replaced the factory speaker grill with a dual 6- 1/2" speaker mount. Looked pretty cool, but it was in a really old thread and I couldn't find any info on it. Probably a custom piece. I ended up just running Polk Audio's top of the line components and they sound amazing.

o ok thanks for the info, i was thinking rockford fosgate, i have 2 12 inch kicker comps under the back seat with a 1500 hifonics amp, would thos polk audio speakers work well with my sub set up?

I have two Kicker Comp 10's with a Kicker DX250.1 amp and as I said, it sounds great. Even over the sound of my Duramax they sound crystal clear when I crank it up. I chose the Polk's because they had the best frequency range.
