rust and rot around windshield
can the rust and rot around the front windshield lip and on the inside of the cab be fixed? I have 4 different trucks just bought a 64 GMC 2 ton for cab eventhough its GMC and it was rusted out the rest of the cab is in great shape and i got a65 chevy that the rest of the cab is decent and fixable but the windshield lip is toast got holes in it inside and out what can i do besides keep lookin for a decent cab going to look at a 64 2 ton been sitting inside and hasnt moved for 25 years he said and from pics it looks good and also a 66 pickup hasnt moved for years so hope i can get something good seems its gonna take 10 trucks to make one

I can be fixed, but thats dependent on your welding/fab skills or deep pockets to take it to a shop. Id look for a better cab personally, especially since your in the midwest where you get less rain than we do here in the mid-atlantic area. These are some real tricky areas to patch up. They do make a patch panel for the brow over the windshield, but no body is making the panels around the rest of the windshield. Would have to be fabbed up.
