16x10 Steelies?
Anybody out there running 16X10 8 lug steel wheels on their 4x4. I had 16.5 x 10s on my truck at one time. Just wondering if there would be a clearance issue with the steering linkage up front.

Re: 16x10 Steelies?
There shouldn't be any problem. My K20 came with 16" split rims, and I'm currently running 16.5x9.75 steel wheels. Years ago I had 15x8s and the only problem was very slight caliper interference which was solved by grinding a small amount of material off the calipers. Unless the offset on the 16x10s is vastly different than your old 16.5s (or any of my wheels) -- which is doubtful -- you should be good to go.

Re: 16x10 Steelies?
I have a temporary set of 17" D*dge rims on the truck now and the clearance is tight by the drag link. I know 16.5x 10s work. Just concerned about stepping down to a 16x10

Re: 16x10 Steelies?
Understood. For the record, I have a good 3/4" of clearance with my 16.5s. I don't know what the backspacing is though.... I seem to remember 4.5", just not sure. I have no idea what my old 15x8s had for backspacing. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I know a lot of guys run 16x8s and I'm pretty sure some guys are running 16x10s on 3/4T 4x4s.
