1" or 2" ?

Just dropped my truck with 3" spindles and 4" hangers and shackles....

Now I'm wanting to bring the front down some more. I ordered 2" drop coils because I want some rake! But now Im starting to think that it may be to much? I think it would look good down 2 more inches but I dont want it to rub my tires! What do ya'll think?

Re: 1" or 2" ?

I plan to do the 3"/4" drop like you did with the same parts (and have been watching your threads closely). Everything I have read on other threads in indicate that cutting 1/2 of a coil on the stock springs will bring the front end down approximently 1 inch. I would experiment with the stock springs first, since they are free. I personally would cut up to 1 coil off of them before purchasing new lowering springs.

Look at this thread and go to Post #3. This is exactly how yours should look with the 5/4 drop. It has the same slight rake that you want.

Yes I may do this if the 2" drop coils don't work. I already have ordered them so I might as well see how they look. I have read alot treads about cutting them too. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to me, but lots of people do it so? I am really hoping that the the new coils only bring it down 1 1/2" or so. I would have just got 1" drop coils but I have read that they sometimes won't give you much drop at all if any?
