EBAY 77-80 gmc chrome grille ?? what model is it from???

I would like to buy this for my 79 but would like some info... What model would this come from? sierra classic or Royal as he says? I have a sierra grande and its just pained grille? how hard is the GMC center emblem going to be to find as it doesn't come with one? Pics of my truck below.

so i take it that it is rare. if it had the emblem with it i woudl be more attracted to it as i will probably never find it.

What I don't understand is why the matching emblem is pictured, but it does not come with the grill.

I'm inclined to think that he's holding onto it, to list for a ridiculous price after the auction.

When it comes to rare vintage drums on eBay, sellers will often list the 3-5 drums that come in a set, all in separate auctions. That means if you really want the set, you have to be the high bidder in all auctions, otherwise you risk not getting one of the drums. Ridiculous.

A different seller has an emblem up in their store however and its listed as NOS for $99... Again somewhat high but then again its not reproduced...

value is only worth whatever you can get for it. I saw one with all trim and emblem sell for $1200 about 6 months ago so I imagine this will go for over $500...just a guess.

With any ebay auction...bid your MAX in the last 10sec, if it sells for more...who cares you wouldnt pay more than your max anyway...if you buy it for your max or less....then you met or beat your mark.

This grille has been relisted due to non paying bidder. I wonder if sometimes that they bid these up themselves to get a premium price and if they dont get what they want they relist? I sold one not too long ago. Chrome edges with silver bars and black inner edges, painted center bars that were rough, and an emblem that was rough also. I included a pair of stainless centers and a good used emblem. It sold for $102 plus the ride. Went alot cheaper than I thought that it should have The NOS emblem for $99 is a pretty good buy. Those do show up on ebay quite a bit. I have sold a couple of them for $235-$250.
