1971 SWB C10 Build----
Well I have been piecing parts for the past couple months & finally decided to get a build thread going for this '71 SWB that I've had since I was 18...... Still have a lot of decisions to make....Bags or static....interior....I'm thinking Black paint/Red Interior........Going with the slant nose '67 look.....
Engine is a SBC 327 came out of a Impala...Rebuilt through Oreillys Machine Shop...bored .30 over...Double Hump Heads.....350 Trans.... I had the truck on the road about 10 years ago but thanks to a late night drive and low oil ...I shot a rod through the motor & destoryed the engine..... But......It is back on the top of "List of things to restore"......

The cab floors were rusted through and I found a local LWB cab with bed, all new front & rear suspension....the guy said he had restored C10's for years but was he said he was too old & tired of messing with them....
So I swooped in & picked up the cab, frame & bed off of him.... Perfect parts truck... with new parts... new complete floor pan welded in cab with all new bushings....... new front sway bar... 5 lug rear end will go under SWB frame.....

Got a bunch parts from local guys & board members......Still undecided about the Air bags....
CPP C-Notch CPP Brake Booster CPP Tubular Motor Mounts CPP Tubular Trans Mounts Poly Motor & Trans mounts ECE Drop Crossmember ECE 2 1/2 Drop Spindles ECE Trac Bar Rear Shock Relocators Front Shock Relocators KYB Shocks Think I will POR 15 the frame after it gets stripped down....

Also got the slant nose sheet metal.....
Local SWB guy here had an original front grille support & hood had very little rust & no dents....Didn't buy the original Core or inner fenders.... But I did buy '67 New front fenders & inner fenders off of him after some arm twisting...Thought I would save a few bucks on shipping..... Gotta get some pics of those...

Playing Catch up on my build for you guys.......Ok so I also got a new LMC driver door...need the passenger door as well just gotta wait till the smoke clears after buying all the suspension parts.....
