Barn Find
My neighbor, a retired 85 year old mechanic decided to give up his driver's license. He wanted to know if I wanted his 1987 C-2500 since I like trucks. he bought it new as a retirement gift to himself. It has a 350 w/TBI a THM400 and a 4.10 rear end axle. The interior package is a Silverado with power window, locks, A/C, tilt cruise etc. I have seen it outsid ethe garge maybe a dozen times, it has 138,000 miles on it.
What's it worth? I tried KBB and could not find vehicles that old. |

Re: Barn Find
Worth what you will pay for an old truck. It's not amazing low miles or anything

Re: Barn Find
You're describing the basic work truck there, nothing more collectable or desirable about it as if it was a 50k mile shortbed or something like that.
Its highly local market driven, but, maybe $2k to $4k depending how close to a like-new truck it looks. Perfect glossy paint and a fading free interior with uncracked dash, no degraded door panels, clean carpets, etc will put you closer to the $4k mark. Go the other direction and its a $2k truck. |

Re: Barn Find
Condition, condition, condition! and location to a lesser degree.
Pictures would give us a better chance to assess the value. |

Re: Barn Find
But if it is a rust free west coast truck, it would be worth more here, of course it would need to be here. I would say 2-4k depending on condition, colors, options.

Re: Barn Find
That (str8axle55) was my thought as well, if I read your location right you aren't gonna find what i/we are assuming is a basically rust free California truck in your area. I think the equipment stated on this truck would part out for more than $500.
