Piaa bulbs?

Has anyone ever used these bulbs. There about 60 bucks for a pair but i know there aux lights are amazing and also expensive. I was thinking about using the piaa super whites with hella headlight housings. Anyone have experience with the bulbs since i cant seem to figure out what a decent hid housing would be

Re: Piaa bulbs?

PIAA bulbs are garbage. They look cool but they are way over priced and burn out 10x faster than normal bulbs. Get silverstars or whatever they are if you want something fancy. I've had many many sets of different PIAA bulbs in different vehicles and the result is always the same. Not impressed at all.

Re: Piaa bulbs?

Stick with a good brand-name bulb (Phillips, Osram, Narva) at standard wattage, and above all else, stay away from blue bulbs.

For more info (no hype) than you may have wanted... http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...lbs/bulbs.html

Re: Piaa bulbs?

boy he's been busy on my puter while I've been gone
this kid has spent more $ on lights than any part on either of his trucks
I have a tote full of differnt lights he bought for the blazer.
he has 6 lights on the front of the blazer now and he still hits deer with it
after installing a hd headlight harness on the 67 he got from lmc i guess he's looking to do the lights now.
I 'm old school i can buy a crap load of halogens for what he will pay for one set of fancy bulbs

Thank you for that link, it is definatly informative and tells the truth about the hyped up bulbs and how piaa tries to claim their 55 watt bulbs would produce more light than 100 watts. i have had trial aND error with my blazer and i can say the headlights i had on it were junk, the headlights on it now are junk just like the sh**** bulbs that come with the lights. My cheap walmart fog lights with hella 100 watt bulbs produce alot more light than the supposed (high performance bulb) the headlights came with.

It is the whole reason i didnt really take out my card and go crazy with my truck Midnightblues. You could say my blazer was more of a guenie pig than anything. And im glad ive messed with my lights so much cause it got me alot more indepth with electric connections and relays.. You prolly be thanking me once i get you a hd harness
