Heater controls Need some help
Looking if somebody could help me out I can not remember but my bottom lever is broke off my controls it this the control lever that turns the fan on.

no
fan is in middle,heat is at bottom and demist or cabin is at top this is what is in a 69

Check out the BB vendors.They will have a kit with everything to rebuild yours.It's upgraded to steel levers so they last much better.Take the cables out and clean/lube them while you're at it and you'll have great working/looking controls with good function.I clamped then end of the cable,shot it with some PB Blaster and worked it a bit,then I tossed them in an oil drain pan with old oil in it.That was 15 years ago.I usually spray them with Graphite lube a couple times a year.

I put the steel lever kit in my truck after one of the original aluminums broke. It is not a good product, the levers are thin and crappy, the bushings/spacers are cheap Chinese junk and the knobs are crap plastic. The way to fix it right is to get some original levers and just clean and lube the cables. I guarantee you will be highly disappointed if you buy the kit.

I bought a kit from Classic Parts and am very happy with it. It has steel levers that won't break like the original cast levers. I didn't care for the plastic knobs so I used my originals, they fit right on the new levers.

My top lever broke the other day. Not sure if its the cable or the lever. I'll look at it next spring. I want to get vintage air anyways so I'll need the AC control unit anyways. Can I get an AC control panel and temporarily hook it up with my existing heating system? I currently have no AC.

The stock heater control panel uses the cable to turn the fan on/off. The AC panel has a fan switch to perform this job. The rest should work fin though. I guess u could take it apart and flip it on and off by hand though.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
