A free 454!!!!

so i just got a free 454. i cant believe it, ive never had this much luck. i had to make a trade to get it, but the trade item was free. a buddy of mine had a t5 laying in the bed of his truck that he had replaced. said the syncros were outa wack. he said i could have it, he was gonna scrap it. so i took it home, listed it on craigslist for trade for chevy stuff. low and behold a local guy called me and asked if a 454 builder was up my alley, i said sure. he was building a model a hotrod and wanted a t5 for it and wanted a t5 for cruising that he could rebuild. so we made the trade. it was given to him and was not turning over. he got it to turn over but thats as far as he got. its very clean and will be perfect for me. i just want to do a mild build and get close to 500hp if possible. it has 80s oval port heads that ill live with since im on a super tight, broke kid budget. fellow board member bosshogg offered a new comp xe 294 cam for a good price, and hopefully i can sell my small block stuff ive stashed up and buy a set of pistons on craigslist that are 60 over domes so that should help fix the big chamber low compression. then i just gotta wheel and deal for a decent aluminum intake, headers, nice looking valve covers, lifters, etc. i figure i should be able to build a pretty nice street motor for a real low budget that i can romp around and burn tires off with. just thought id share my new with everyone. im excited to go bigblock, it'll help fill the empty engine bay the 350 couldnt fill. so now i have a lot of ads on craigslist selling the noisy gear drive that i bought, cam, lifters, double humps, topend bolt kit etc. ill sell the 350 and turbo 350 out of it. and find a t400 and stall converter
