What size stall converter would work best?

I installed a set of World Product Torquer heads and an Isky 292 cam and lifter kit. Iskys site says that a 2800 stall speed would be best. Any other input? I have found a 3k stall for $150.

What I do know is that twice I have installed a stall that was recommended and it needed to be higher. Depending upon the torque of the motor and other variables it can stall less than you want.

It also depends on what cubic inch the engine is. A 283 is going to need a much higher stall that an 454 will.
