Battery cable question

My battery died today. Had it tested, and it is bad, so I bought a new one. I noticed the battery terminals were a little corroded and banged up, so I bought new cables that have the terminals attached. Here's my question.... Both cables have that extra little smaller cable with the crimp at the end, but the original cables only had one of those. Should I just cut the smaller cable off the other side that doesn't need it?

I bought two if these:

U never ground to a positive cable. The small connections are for accessaries are things that u need wired straight off the battery.
The cables u bought u need to make sure it will work on the + terminal of the battery also. Some are bigger than the - terminal so the cable end may not work.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thanks. Yeah, I didn't think you could ground to a positive.

They didn't sell specific positive and negative cables, so I'm hoping these fit
