250 Inline into V8 equipped '66.

My '66 SWB fleetside has a seized 350/3-speed in it. What all would be involved in swapping in a straight 6 250?

bolt it in. use the b/housing & flywheel off your v8. if your I6 has the brkt and stud for the zbar(clutch), if not you will have to find one and the exhaust. there are eng mount brkts between the block and the insulators(rubber mounts)

Re: 250 Inline into V8 equipped '66.

The 250 is bolted to a 700r4, probably going to junk the three speed. The driveshaft is missing anyway so I may fab up a crossmember and see about getting a shaft made.

Its coming out of my '54 F100 with a S10 frame, I had to carve up the driverside motor mount a little to get it to fit the S-10 chassis, would anyone have a source for one of these? Haven't had any luck finding one so far. Engine was originally in a '68 Camaro, so I'm not sure if the block part of the mounts is the same or not.
