Lowering 97 Yukon 2 door question

I just finished doing a 5/7 drop in my Yukon and now my drive shaft is rubbing a body cross member that is sheet metal and part of the floor of the truck so I am wondering if anyone has run into this and how they fixed the problem

Yeah, I ran into the same thing. I just notched where it was hitting, there is still metal there for the floor so you won't have to patch it in unless you want to.

We did the same cut but we found an old fire extinguisher and cut it up and welded it in to finish it off and it made a really nice tunnel for the drive shaft
