67 fuel guage/sender problem
I have a 67 chevy truck with the tank in the cab (for now) and put a guage panel out of a 70 c10. Now my gas guage isnt registering at all.... it worked witht the old cluster? Is there a different sending unit in the later models? What can I do to get my guage working?

Re: 67 fuel guage/sender problem
Was your previous without gauges? Just had dummy lights speedometer and gas gauge?
What does your replacement gauge set have? I know putting a tach dash in you have to switch some wires out at the plug. How does the circuit look on the back of the cluster? Could be some damage to it. You can do this to test to see if the gauge works at all. Pull the power wire off at the tank, gauge should go to the 3 o'clock position. Ground it to the tank and the gauge should read full. That's if you get power thru that wire. So you might want to check that also. That should give you a head start. There are a few other threads on this from recent that might give you some help.

Re: 67 fuel guage/sender problem
If you swapped from a idiot cluster to a gauge cluster. Follow the directions on this site and swap the wires around on the plugs, should get you going. Scroll down till you find it.

Re: 67 fuel guage/sender problem
no problem, that's what we are here for. Going to be doing a conversion myself when I get home. Done a lot of research on it.
