Thanks, I use pin stripping paint in the little cans. I'll even use spray paint , I just spray it on the front of a glossy magazine and apply it with my striping brush. Just don't drink any coffee befor you do it. hahahaha

Re: from a pile to a sweet patina truck....

Well the truck sold today. I had it osted for two days and the first guy to see it bought it. The guy was cool and i was able to turn him on to the forumn and it looks like we may have a new member soon. The guy drove the truck and fell in love with it. it was a great deal for both of us. You all have a great weekend.

Re: from a pile to a sweet patina truck....

Thanks Keith, I really appreciate all the info you gave me on the front end of this build to get the truck down to a respectible ride height. Take it easy.

Congratulations Tony, that quick sale doesn't surprise me!!! If that truck would have been a couple of feet shorter I would have been all over it!

Re: from a pile to a sweet patina truck....

I'm kinda feeling this yellow one would make a great shop truck, slamed with some Torque Thrust powdwer coated black . just ratty on the out side but under the hood it would sport a sweet straight 6 with a turbo 400 trans just supper low and a completely new interior paint and all.

You can't go wrong with either of those, if you're past results are any indicator of what you'll end up with. Nice work!

Re: from a pile to a sweet patina truck....

Well the tribe has spoken...... I think I'll sell the short bed so I can focus on the Long bed shop truck. It'll have that low stance with those powder coated flat black torque thrust wheels , I'll retain the yellow paint but I'll paint the top of the cab white so I can acheive that MoonEyes look and feel of the sixtys...
