I'm doing the same swap on my grandpas old truck to keep it alive and just make it more enjoyable to drive. The old granny low trans thats in there now def has to go. I think its on its last leg anyway.

I don't think I'll be doing any burnouts either not sure how much abuse a t5 can take behind a 350. Should last a long time the way I drive. I have got my share of tickets in the past and tires are expensive anyway. buuut I havent had a 3rd pedal behind a v8 in awhile hopefully I can resist the urge.
