It is.....I think I need to seek some sort of therapy....I am heavily addicted to Lokar products.lol. One part from them and you're hooked! Lately, I have been getting my billet fix from Julianos and Yearwood. If you are ever in the market for streetrod parts, those dealers are among the best. I bought a great set of shoulder harness seat belts from Julianos. The fit and install was fantastic. It is probably the best addition a guy could add to his truck. They would keep you safe for sure in the event of a crash. If anyone would like a pic of them installed, I would be more than happy to post one.

Hello to a fellow Northern Nevadan. Next time you are in Carson, I would be more than happy to let you check it out if you like. I'm building this for my 17 year old son. It should turn out to be a pretty nice driver for him. It's getting a little priceyer than I originally planned. I currently have more than $20,000 invested in this thing. I know John. I saw him about a year ago. He is really into these trucks.

Pics For Frost

Here are a few more pics for you Frost. They're a little outdated but they give a good idea of how the truck is coming along. Next week most of the interior goes to the upholsterer. The interior is being done in tan leather. Seats are done. Pulled them from a 69 Vette.

I like the pedals a lot. What year is your truck, and what all was involved with the pedal install? Is your gas pedal linkage the cable style? I want to get some nice shiney pedals, especially since my old ones keep falling off. Nice truck!

Hey Greasemonkey, When I bought the truck it was a 67. But the cab was very poorly modified by the previous owner. He tried to turn it into a convertible and reinforced the whole cab with wood. It was a real death trap. I trashed the cab and picked up a real nice 70 cab an used it. So, it is titled as a 67. The Gas Pedal is really easy to install. I like it because the throttle cable doesn't pass through the firewall(all holes in the firewall were welded closed prior to painting) instead, a small rectangular hole is cut under the floor and the throttle cable is attached to a bracket that is supplied with the gas pedal kit. Installation time is less than an hour....

Seatbelts and Pedals

Here is a pic of the seatbelts. I don't have the receivers mounted to the floor yet. I will mount them when I mount the seats. I purchased them from Julianos the part number is JUO10305. I also got a killer set of billet arm rests from them. Check out their web page. Here is the info on the Lokar pedals. I purchased all of them through summit racing. I live pretty close to Summits retail store. Some of them they stocked but others were ordered. Summit was kind of slow on getting them. If I had it to do over again, I would order from yearwood (do a google search they are easy to find). Here are the part numbers requested.

Gas Pedal- Billet Eliminator Floor Mount w/ Rubber FMG-6098
Brake Pedal- Billet Brake Pad w/ Rubber BAG-6094
Billet Dimmer Switch Cover w/ Rubber BAG6006

The Brake Pad took alot of work to make it fit. The original pad on the pedal arm needs to be heated with a torch an hammered on to make it flat. Then it needs to be trimmed down to the same shape as the backside of the Lokar pad. The Lokar pad is held in place with four set screws. I dad to do several passes with my MIG welder to build up metal so the screws would have the thickness of metal they need to attach to the original pedal assembly. It takes a while but well worth the results. Instructions are included with the gas pedal and are very well written and easy to understand.
