How much does a longbed weigh.

contrary to poular belief, not very much. my 62 year old grandfather and i picked one up last summer and loaded it onto a trailer. drug it across town, and put it on the back of his 77 K20. should be a very easy job if you can get 4 guys, but 2 should be able to handle it.

umm...damn, seemed pretty heavy when me and my dad tried to lift mine off the truck, a third person and we would have been able to do it, but then again we had to lift it about a foot for clearance so the truck could be driven from under it...

me and three buddies lifted a bed but it wasnt exactly the easiest. id say its a good 500 lbs or so my best advice to you all is break out the beer AFTRE yal lft or it aint gettin done lol

I sold the bed of my 83. It was a 8ft fleetside and another guy and I put it on the trailer with no problems. I also have a dually bed but it is much heavier!!!

also, a rust bed might be harder to deal with if there is excessive rust in the rear wheelwells. that's where we picked it up. then lifted if over the tires and onto the tralier. when we got to his house, we did exactly teh same thing, but in reverse order. the K20 is about 2 1/2 feet high at the frame.
