Personally I would put another 4x10 or two 4s in the stock place and try to reconnect those heater hoses, but only if you still use the heat. I drive in fairly cold weather for a decent chunk of the year so those defrost vents are invaluable to me, but yes you could definitely put speakers in there. What size is the hole?
