1959 Deluxe Heater

Does anyone know where I can get the plastic dual coupler that attaches to the heater ducts.

Re: 1959 Deluxe Heater

maybe some one on this board has one otherwise junk yard would be your only hope
or make one yourself, you'd be amazed at what a little sheet metal and a rivet gun can do

Re: 1959 Deluxe Heater

Are you asking about the 2" hose that goes from the round pieces to the defrost vents? I don't have my heater anymore but do not remember any plastic parts or anything that attached to the two round duct. The flapper directed air up to the defront vents or down to the floor. Hose should be readily available, millions of VW's still use it for heater hoses too.

4 eye- yours looks to be in pretty good shape. I have an extra but it is cracked. I think it is in worse condition than the one you have.

Its the plastic piece shown in the picture. Where the hoses attach to the heater box.

Actually this is a picture I found on-line, not from mine. Mine was so brittle it just fell apart.

Thats what I'm going to end up doing. It doesnt seem to be that difficult. Some sheet metal, 2" tubing and alittle welding.

Re: 1959 Deluxe Heater

thin sheet metal and pop rivets would work fine too
