67 painless LS1 wiring woes

not sure if anyone else out there has done the LS1 swap using painless harness for the truck and incorperated the Painless LS1/4L60 harness.

got a few questions regarding merging the wiring for Brake switch, the Neutral/Safety/reverse switch and Alternator wiring.

I got a 4 wire brake switch, think i've figured out this dilema but if anyone can reassure me about it that would be great.

The Neutral safety switch/reverse switch is the one bothering me the most and the Alternator wiring. I have a 4 wire neutral safety/reverse switch and I'm using a corvette LS2 2 wire connector style alternator.

anyone that can lend me some insight that will help is greatly appreciated. wiring is the last on my list of this swap and i wanna get it done.

Thx in advance.

Re: 67 painless LS1 wiring woes

More info needed...

Year model of truck.
Year/make/model of engine.
Painless engine harness number.
Original body harness? Painless, Other?
So your alternator is off a LS2? LS2 GTO/G8's have a Denso alternator.....Corvette/Trailblazer use Delphi.
PCM number?

Re: 67 painless LS1 wiring woes

Read my 87 build thread around the last 1/4 or so.

There are some pocs of how I did my brake switch in there and how I wired it.

alternator that is currently in the truck is a LS1 GTO alternator from a 2005,

i wired the alternator as follows, battery to starter: starter to lug on alternator. 2 wire connector, 1 wire jumped to alternator lug and other wire tied into 12v activation wire from painless truck harness. the way i have it wired the truck works perfect, charges at 14.2v while idling. everything seems fine and dandy, til the other day battery DEAD truck wont start.

Question is did i wire this wrong and its causing battery drain or do i have something else going on. Do i have to wire the resistor into the wire like i've been reading about or no?

PLEASE HELP!!

Thank you in advance
