Heater core "?"

ok.I've done some searching.read some posts looked at pictures and I STILL can't seem to find out if I can remove the heater core without removing the whole assembly.

its a 1966 c-10 with the deluxe heater assembly in the engine compartment.
feeling pretty stupid right about now
I need some help please...

just unbolt the cover and remove the core, you can be done before you get many replies here! LOL!

To remove the heater core you will have to remove the top half of the heater box. This is actually aluminum. To do so you will need to remove the screws around the perimeter, plus the screws that attach it to the cowl of the cab. Just removing the tin cover on the top won't work.
