6 lug to 5 lug adapters

Anyone using adapters for switching over to 5 lug? Opinions?

used them, using them and will do so in the future..

get good quality name brands, and they are good to go.

the add at least 1.5 inches to your overall axle width

You're probably gonna get replies saying that they're unsafe. So, before they come let me add this....
I had 2" (6 to 6) adapters front & rear on my c-30 dump truck so that I could use modern wheels. It rode great and I loaded it up very heavy frequently.
So, Maybe some consider them unsafe, but I never had a problem.

Thanks for the positive replies. I'm thinking about going that route. Too expensive to swap everything out to IFS and new rear end.

what year trucks do you have, I have a 1956 and used 52/54 chevy car hubs on the 56 they have 5on4 3/4.

I have a 59. Will the car hubs work? What about the rears?

i was gonna get them from 5 lug to 6 , so i can switch to my original wheels , but for the price of them can get a pair of axles , made up ,, there a company i google searched makes for any wheel ,,,seen them range from 45-200 dollars for a pair , i know people run them on there 4x4 and use on trails and road there safe , just keep them tight
