Man I really don't know, I was actually getting 14-17mpg with my turbo 350 trans.

My little 1951 Chevy (3100) got 21MPG with a 250 straight six/350 turbo combo with a 3:08 rear out of a 64 Chevelle. I can believe that you were getting around 14-17.

Hey I just noticed in another thread your truck is 4wd right? Than may make some of the difference because mine is 2wd.

Yes sir you're correct. But I didn't think there could be that much more rolling friction...? I guess the added weight all around and friction in the transfer case could do it. My mistake.
