3/4ton to 1/2ton cab swap

Whats all involved in swaping a 3/4ton cab to a hal ton frame, I noticed the rear mounts are slightly diffrent but do they need to be switched completly?

The cabs themselves are basically the same. It is just the rear cab mount that is different on the C20 and bigger trucks. The one other thing that may be different is whether the cabs has a low hump or high hump trans tunnel.

Both the cab coming off and the cab going on have a high hump. Will i need to take the mounts off my 3/4ton and put them on the 1/2ton?

No, most people do it the other way around and put 1/2 ton mounts on 3/4 tons.

There is absolutely no reason to do that when the cab from the 3/4 ton will bolt right up to the 1/2 ton frame's cab mounts.
