1961 GMC dash

I have a 61 Gmc but have never liked the factory gauge set up. On ebay there is a gauge cluster from a 64 GMC, will that fit in my pickup? We have an old 62 GMC grain truck on the farm with the same cluster as whats on eby so it should fit right?

I am sure the guage inserts were different. 60-63 are interchangeable with one another and 64-66 with one another but not in your situation....some one please verify?? Maybe the GMCs were different from the Chevys...

Re: 1961 GMC dash

on the 60-61 dash incerts the face place (gauges) are mounted on the metal backing plate. The 62-66 incert (plastic part) are the same size, but you need to check the mounting mounts. I "think" that 60-61 small screws are in s different posistion than the latwer year. Should be an easy fix though.

GMC clusters are a completely different animal than the Chevys.

Re: 1961 GMC dash

Jake is right. the bezels will fit in the dash but only a couple holes will line up. Gmc never changed that part of the dash for the whole run.
