Stock Steering Wheel On A Newer Column

I have reduced the diameter of the stock steering wheel from my 55 suburban and want to mount it to a newer tilt column. I am not sure about what has to be done to get the horn to work. I think I read a post on this site that talked about how to prepare a stock steering wheel for installation onto a newer steering column, but I can't find it.

Re: Stock Steering Wheel On A Newer Column

I am putting a 48 wheel on a 82 tilt column. I have been taking detailed photos and was going to write up a "how to" on it. I was waiting until the final assembly, but can get you some information. Once I figured it out it wasn't hard to do the mods. Here is the description that might help.
