Steering Gear Question.

Hey guys new to the forum. Just bought a 63, you may have seen it on this forum it was a flat black long box with a roof rack and comic books on the hood. It's time to start tearin into her and make it mine now. Ordered the PB front crossmember (basic kit) and I'm just wondering if any one is running that without the unisteer rack and pinion. I plan on getting P/S once I drop a V8 in it but for now I just want to run manual steering so I'll just be using a Cardone rack and pinion for the time being. The length of the Unisteer is 45" and the Cardone is 44" but the mounting points are the same. Is there going to be any issues here? I'm thinking since tie rods are adjustable there shouldnt be... Right?

Re: Steering Gear Question.

Oh I'm sure there will be lots of posting of the pics haha. The truck is 3 hours away from me so I can't work on it as much as I'd want to. But first things first is to make it a short box, and make it lay rocker
