Re: Isn't this a good deal??
Seems like alot to me. I find these things all over the place on my junkyard travels.
I've tried to sell them and usually get very little for them. (lucky to get $30 bucks!) I'd look for a cheap one that just need a new bezel. Install a new bezel and it will look like a million.

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
I paid $30 for mine. Not nearly in as good condition. That one looks to be reproduction or at least rebuilt. IMO it is just too clean to be original. But if you are looking to rebuild one, you can compare the cost of parts to buying this one to see if it is a good deal or not.

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
Weird, I thought they went for a lot more. Last week at he junkyard I passed up to glovebox doors that I could have bought for 5 bucks a piece. That is probably worth it though.
I just thought the full bezels went for a heck of a lot more. thanks. |

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
Depends on how far you are getting into one. Most of us that change out of gauge clusters are upgrading to a Tach Dash. There you are going to spend some money.
If you are just restoring a gauge cluster, you are still going to spend some money. $50 on a new bezel, $30 or so on a circuit, another 30 on a new lens, then more if you have to replace any gauges, and then small things like paint for the needles. Overall, if you aren't converting to a tach dash, the price isn't bad when you start doing a parts break down of restoring what you have.

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
I see. I have a 3 hole but I think I am going to leave it. (I was considering switching) but I kind of like the bigger gas gauge, makes me feel like I have more fuel =)

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
Seems like plenty to me. I see nice clean originals in the $60-$80 range.
And fyi, the gas gauges are the same size from a 3 hole to 7 hole cluster.

Re: Isn't this a good deal??
To high. More like $60.00 with all cleaned up.
I bought my orignal tach dash complete back several years ago for $45.00 out of a dump truck. All the guages are the same size.
