drop spindles with 6 lug on 69?

I am just about to order drop spindles from cpp and was wondering what else i need to keep 6 lug up front. Also where is best to get it from. I really dont want to switch to 5 lug all around or have a mismatch. Thanks

Just ask for their 6 Lug rotors. They should work with their spindles and a stock caliper. You can probably get a complete kit thru the depending on how much you need to do the the front suspension and how deep your pockets are.Mine are Mc Guaghy's but spindles rotors and all came from them.I bought the brake kit to go with my spindles.Don't forget you will need a proportioning valve and new MC for a Disc/drum truck.

And you can't run pre-71 6-lug steel wheels with disc brakes.
You will need to run a 71-87 6-lug steel wheels or 73-87 6-lug rally wheels.

Excellent reminder. The older wheels will hit the caliper.

It's really a cool deal that they's come up with, you don't have to deal w/ swapping to 5 lug...to get disc brakes. Disc is the only way to go....

It's simple to swap axles .. just sayin. Not a big deal to do 5 lug in the back too. It might open options for you to run other wheels (?) My .02

Re: drop spindles with 6 lug on 69?

Thats got me me thinking now, im running a set of old steel white spokes painted flat black, i really like them but not sure what they are off of. Anyway to tell if they will work with disk brakes at that point? I really love the wheels but if i absolutely had to i could probably put my 5 bolt rallies on. I will check that out with cpp wasnt sure if that was the way to go or if i could get something cheaper off a newer vehicle from an autoparts store. Thanks.

Most aftermarket wheels work with disc, but there may be exceptions.IIRC the wagon wheel style miss the caliper on the 73 up trucks so they should on yours, but there's only two ways to tell.Change them and see or find a swapped truck to try them on.
