sensors and switches
Hello from Texas,
I'll start out by saying that I'm aterrible mechanic, but this truck is for my 16 year old, so bear with me. Hello from Texas, I have a 1985 Chevy C20 pickup, reg.cab, long bed, 2wd, 5.7L 350, that some one has turned an automatic to a 4 speed, floor shift transmission(what i would call a granny 4 spd. because unless your towing ya better start out in 2nd). The main problem is they didn't take any of the automatic electrical out and not sure if they even put any of the manual stuff in(they just clipped wires).Plus they took out ECM when they put a new motor in about 14,00 miles ago(I was told!!) What my question is,because I'm having starting and/or electrical problems, what sensors and switches do I need for the manual transmission(Neutral saftey switch, vehicle speed sensor, back up light switch, etc). I'm pretty much done rerunning/redoing the dash wiring,I just need to know what needs to be plugged in or not. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thnks,Lance |
