Drove the Blazer to work today

I was going to put the top on last Saturday, but it was such a nice day, I just didn't have the heart to do it.

Yesterday I was driving home in my commuter car (2001 Grand Am) and passed some guy in his BMW convertible with the top down. I felt kind of jealous, so...

I drove the Blazer to work this morning. It was 40 degrees and kind of chilly at 70 mph. But this afternoon is supposed to be close to 70 degrees, so I'm really looking forward to the ride home!

Re: Drove the Blazer to work today

ahh dont worry about the cold. the fun of it out weighs the cold. the other night me, my girlfriend, her brother and his soon to be wife all rode in mine with no top till 2am. the girls bundled up in the back and we had the heater cranked up front lol. it was sooo much fun.

Woohoo! It was a fun drive home - definitely worth being a little cold this morning.

Funny I was just thinking about how much I like driving the blazer as a daily driver.

Re: Drove the Blazer to work today

Really hope I can afford to own a blazer to keep one day. If I do it will be a full time convertible (roadster) and for nice weather!

Mine was a daily driver, until I was moved to a different office a couple of years ago. Now my 20-mile commute makes fuel economy a little more important. But every once in a while you just gotta do what you gotta do.

Re: Drove the Blazer to work today

I drive mine a couple times a week if theres no rain, regardless of the temp. I can handle 40's on the way to work just to have 70's crusin on the way home. I took my top off before cruisin the coast and just can't bring myself to put it back on, lol. When it gets to the point that it never gets over 50 all day I may consider reinstalling the lid.

Re: Drove the Blazer to work today

Today it started out rainy and cold. Since then we've gotten about six inches of snow. I'm glad I put the top on, but I miss the summertime...

When I was in High School, it snowed clear down to the water in Solana Beach. It could happen. But that was 1969 lol.
