Steering gear

Does anyone know of a rebuild kit for a 67 c10 manual steering gear? Or does anyone have a good one for sale? Thanks in advance

Re: Steering gear

I tried to find one with no luck. There is a place called Red Head that rebuilds them for $$$, but I herd they do amazing stuff. I could not afford it so I just bought one from O'Rielly Auto.

I found that if I searched for a 77 C-10 gear box they were a lot cheaper even though it is the same gear box. Ebay had a new, not rebuilt (GM overstock) Just checked it is still there. Same price as my rebuilt one from the auto part store without the $230 core charge.

IMHO best deal if you are hurting for cash (other than pulling one off another truck)

Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/67-84-Chevro...sories&vxp=mtr

Re: Steering gear

For what it's worth, you can probably swap over to PS for about the same $$ or maybe even less.It would have cost me mre to buy a standard box than to use a complete Auto recycled PS system.
