My new '85 K20
For the better part of this year I've been the owner of a 1971 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd. I bought it from a co-worker for $1000. It was mainly used for dump runs and such. I really wanted a 4X4, but this deal was too good to pass up. So, I cleaned up the '71 real nice and put it up on craigslist for $2000 just to see if anyone would bite. I also said I was interested in a trade for a 4X4.
A few weeks went by and I didn't get any calls or emails. Then lo and behold a guy calls me up this last week who is interested in the truck. He drives over in his '85 4X4 and (long story short) we trade straight across. My father-in-law had the canopy. The silver on blue looks pretty nice. The truck is in good shape. The 350 starts right up and now that I've remembered how to drive a stick, shifts just as smooth. I took it up in the hills yesterday to test the 4X4 with great success. I'm pretty happy about this trade. |

I think you did pretty well; you got what you wanted and I like the canopy as well!
