Nothing wrong with a good day at the track.

Re: The old 68 GMC handing out a spankin'

Heres links to pics of the truck from when I took custody of it back in July....up to present day.

Don't know what it runs in the quarter.....this was just a "Run What You Brung" Heads-up racing...at about an 1/8 mile...with a hot chick flagging.

The engine is basically stock (except for the headers) 1969 Engine code: 3970010/ 350 C.I. with 041 camel hump heads and a th400 behind it (mild R/V shift kit). The rear is the original 3:91 posi.

This is the before and after of the engine...

OH...did I mention this is my daily driver?????

Re: The old 68 GMC handing out a spankin'

Nice truck! I have a 3970010 casting number 350 on the engine stand. That number is a '68-'79 350 CI, 2- or 4-bolt main (mine is a 4-bolt main), Car/Truck/Corvette, 185 HP (or, if a high HP model can be up to 370 HP).

Definitely like the "after" picture of the engine!!
