I'm not sure I could deal with him. Not a good attitude for someone trying to sell something... (whether he's a member or not)

Just my 2¢ worth.

Re: Cool patina'd and bagged stepper on CL

I think its sad that it has to be that way sometimes with Craigslist. If you don't put stuff like that in there you'll have someone call or text offering to trade a push mower or something! I think he could have been a little nicer but some points just need to be made.

Cool Truck This guy must have sold some stuff on craigslist before and it is sad you have to rude but ive had to be this way before also and iam generally a nice guy, when i sold my other dd had people asking to finance, asking to buy without wheels, didnt want the stereo sysytem coming to look at it never showed up just of waste of time sometimes. finally changed my add kinda similar to this one, had a guy call said he could tell by the pictures the truck was taken care of and liked my add cause he knew i was serious about what i was saying about the truck and he bought it. we still talk too been 2 years since i sold it to him.

Yep, it almost looks like one of those "yes dear, I am really trying to sell the truck because you hate it but no one has called or emailed me about it" adds.

The jury is still out on if that one is or isn't a rat rod but it sure has a lot of those guy's favorite junk on it.

I think it looks great too and while a little rough with his wording, I can see why with Craigslist. I doubt it would be worded that way on a forum such as this one.(I would hope)

Re: Cool patina'd and bagged stepper on CL

I'm always worried that when there is way too much "cute" stuff added on a truck like that it's in an effort to distract one from suspect work on the actual truck. That might not be the case but I'd sure want to put it up on a hoist and spend some time under it before putting out any money for it.

I agree^

I don't like the attitude of some Craig's ads either but I have heard of the ridiculous offers by some people. One has to decide if it's worth messing with these guys cause some of them can be horses rears with the same attitude in person.

There was one ad for a guitar where the guy mentioned if anyone wanting to see it and played "stairway to heaven" on it, he would bash his head with the guitar! Nice touch... I'd be very surpised if he ever sold it.

Cool truck. I like how he insisted "this IS NOT A RAT ROD", yet under the search key words down the bottom he listed rat rod.
Looks good though, and people can be dou$#&$, can they not?

Re: Cool patina'd and bagged stepper on CL

I'm gonna ask my dad if I can have it after he tells me what a "three on the tree" is.

In all seriousness, I can understand the firm words by some of the dealings I've had with CL. I would be more interested if it were a static dropped truck. A little too low for my tastes. I hope he has a good sale.

Price is way too high... there, someone said it

He took a $500 truck and put a couple grand worth of crap underneath it. Most people who do this "style" truck and ask the kind of money he is asking have a lot nicer wheels, tires that don't look 15 years old, clean up and paint under the hood, and redo the interior. Straight 6, 3spd, no air, etc.. $3,500 truck.

Re: Cool patina'd and bagged stepper on CL

Sounds like a seasoned CL seller....

I have sold a decent chunk of stuff and people blow right through your add and low ball you or offer crappy trades.

Maybe I should try this route because they seem to miss the nice guy approach that says no trades or low ball offers...lol

Thats a $4000 truck so he would hate my offer...haha
