DIY Exhaust Pieces?

My next step on my 65 C10 Project is to set up the exhaust as simple and close to original as I can. Does anyone know of any vendors that sell individual pieces to weld or clamp together? I know my local oreilly has some pieces but I didn't see the flared piece for the manifold nor the piece that goes over the rear. I know someone's gotta sell this stuff because I've seen where muffler shops usually have a stock of this stuff. I can get an exhuast put in for like $300 but I'm on a budget for this truck here. According to the prices I saw at oreilly I can probably set it up my self for under $100 if I could only find the darn flared manifold piece where the donut goes. THanks for any info.

Re: DIY Exhaust Pieces?

The frames being so close to the 67-72 trucks, might be an option there. They have plenty of exhaust kits.

Good Point. I will look. Even up to 73-87 if they're running a inline 6 it can't be much different except for the catalytic system.

Re: DIY Exhaust Pieces?

I just did a quick search and most everything is V8 Dual Exhaust setups. I'm confident I can set up an exhaust if I can find the darn exhaust manifold connector pipe. The single exhaust on these trucks is so so so simple. Straight down from the manifold, 45 degree piece, straight back muffler, then figure out what happens at the rear, then a 90 or 45 piece to exit behind the tire. That's why I hate to drop the $300. I don't even know how long I'll keep the engine in there. Once I get it painted if I find a good deal on a small block, just maybe.....
