Snow belt trucks are all we have here! :/ You can hit pay dirt or you can hit rusty bondo. You gotta look at them up close.

Re: Good Deal (?) on CL
I am quite sure that others would echo these sentiments. Although I quite agree with taking a look, before you drive 2-6 hours each way to "take a look," get a history first. Talk with the owner. Yea, you'll get the "pretty picture" but as the buyer, decipher what is said and learn...and listen through your common sense filter.
One can easily eclipse $3500 just in rust issues in labor so make sure you know what you are getting into. Most nice trucks are located in NM, AZ, CA, FL, GA, AL, MS, LA and SC, but depending on your location it mat be difficult to ascertain a prospective's condition...which may also be dependent on the seller and "life-of-the-truck-location" no matter where it is presently located. Realizing that many members on this board would like to SAVE every truck they come across that is still operating, make the wise decision. Cancer is cancer but the money comes out of YOUR wallet. Short? One pic for a reason. Hopefully we won't see your truck as another of those on Ebay or CL that were unfinished "projects!" God Bless, John

Agreed 100% A truck with extensive rust can be very costly and thus the good deal has just gone out the window. Best of luck
