Choke Plate - Monojet
Can anyone tell me what the piece in the center of this choke plate is, what it's for if anything, and is there anything additional missing from it? Finally, should it stay or should it go?

Re: Choke Plate - Monojet
It's for a vacuum break. Probably not needed if you have choke cable. Mine was un hooked. Scroll down this page for a parts break down.
Pics.

Re: Choke Plate - Monojet
Thanks for identifying that. I have not seen that illustrated anywhere else except on your link. My vacuum break just (exterior in picture) just passes through the rubber seal and terminates after about 3/4". I'm not presently looking at it, but I can't recall if it looked severed off or not. I do not have a manual (in cab) choke, nor is it electronic, I believe it is a bi-metal spring on manifold type. Am I actually missing something, like the rest of the shaft that connects to the choke plate? Or is this a 69 Monojet design change? I'd like to sort it out before I reassemble. Thanks again for the input.
