Coil over rear end setups
Anybody have a few pics of a rear end set up with coil over shocks instead of coil springs.Thinking about running with Porterbuilt tubular trailing arms and using a coil over shock set up on my 66 step side.Would like to have it as low as i can go, but static drop instead of bags.Truck should see some track time and i think this would work well street or strip.Thoughts?

Re: Coil over rear end setups
Just got through looking at your set up, 1Bad62Pro/Street .Great job.!!That upper bar bracket fits under the bed fine? and what rate springs did you go with on your coil overs,as mine is step side also. That turned out really nice.!!

We had to make a few adjustments but she's fits fine. The bed sits up a tad bit higher. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=321173 Competition Engineering #247-2051K7 Rear Coil-Over Shock Kit 250lb springs included. 3-way adjustable shocks Upper mounts Adjustable lower mounts (with 6" of ride height adjustment) Vehicle weight is critical to suspension performance so choosing the correct spring rate based on rear end weight maximizes the suspension's ability to transfer weight and improve traction. http://www.jegs.com/i/Competition+En...051K7/10002/-1

Re: Coil over rear end setups

Re: Coil over rear end setups
Yes.
You have to drive it a while to let the springs set then adjust the as needed with a Spanner Wrench. I love this setup! http://www.competitionengineering.co...es/chassis.asp
