1" rotors worthwhile?

I've been searching around for a disc brake front end for my 1966. I found a lower mileage one in good condition for a pretty decent price. Everything is there from the booster and master cylinder to the calipers, power steering gear and linkage, and everything from the cross member to the rotors. My only hangup is it has 1" rotors. Is there a noticable performance difference between 1" and 1 1/4" rotors? Is it worth getting?

Here is a good thread on your exact topic.

Should you still want "our" opinions--and the issue seems to be just that, opinions--ask further. HTH.
